The perimeter (p) of a figure is the distance around that figure.
To find the perimeter of an object, measure each side of the figure, and then add them up. The perimeter of a square = 4 × s where 's' is the side of the square. The perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × ( l + w ) , where l = length and w = width.
