Isn't it fun to receive a letter in the mail? It makes us feel good. If you want to get a letter, you need to write one. The type of letter you write to a relative or a friend is called as a Friendly letter. You must have a purpose in mind when you write a letter. May be you would like to tell your parents about your school life or tell a faraway friend about an exciting softball game you played in your school.

No matter what your reason for writing a letter is, it must be clearly written and include all the parts: your address, the date, to whom you are writing the letter, the body, a closing and a signature.
