What is a sentence?

Sentence: A group of words, which make complete sense, is called as a sentence.

A sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period.

an fruit is a apple (wrong)

Subject and Predicate:

Every sentence contains two parts: a subject and a predicate.
The subject is what the sentence is about, while the predicate tells us something about the subject.

To determine the subject in a sentence, first isolate the verb, and then make a question by placing who? Or what? Before it .... . The answer is the subject.

1. Declarative sentences.
