  • We will begin today's lesson, by looking for adjectives in sentences.


What are these words?


    Adjective - An adjective is a describing word. It helps to tell you about something.


Look at these sentences. Can you pick out the adjectives?

  • Erica is a beautiful singer.

  • What is the adjective in that sentence? Good the word beautiful is the adjective.

  • Max is a lively, black dog.

  • What is the adjective in that sentence? Hmmmmm. There is more than one adjective! The two adjectives are lively and black.

  • The more adjectives you use in your writing, the easier it is for the person reading your work to picture what you are talking about.
