History of Flight
What will we be learning today?


  • In this lesson, we are going to learn about the history of flight.


You will learn about how flying start and how things have changed over the years.

Start by listening to this story about the Dude Brothers. They will begin our trip. Click on the Dude Brothers to hear the story.

There is a museum in Washington D.C. that is all about flying.
There are models of planes from start to now. It is a very big museum.
It takes all day to walk around and see everything.

You are going to see some of the planes hanging in the museum. A lot of planes hang from the ceilings in the museum. How tall do you think the building needs to be to have planes hanging from the ceiling?
