  What will we be learning today?

   In this lesson, we are going to learn about what it means to study Social Studies

   The vocabulary words are history, economics, government, citizenship, geography, society,
     culture

    History           :  the study of the events and experiences of the past

    Economics    :  the study of the producing, sharing, and using goods and services

    Government :  a group of people who have the power to make and enforce laws for a country
                            or a group of people

    Citizenship   :  the duties and responsibilities that come with being a member of a community

    Geography :  the study of all the physical features of the Earth's surface

    Society       :  an organized group of people who live together

    Culture       :  the beliefs, customs. practices, and, social behavior of a group of people

   The study of history :

      Time, years, and events that help to make today

      People, places, and natures' events that have made the world the way it is now

      Wants and needs, goods and services, products and how they are produced

      The ways people go about getting their needs and wants met through trade, and money
