  hey are at the polar caps. The poles of Earth are always the coldest spots on Earth. They are the   places farthest away from the equator.


  Learn about how glaciers are made. Glaciers begin as a pile of snow that doesn't melt away when   summer comes. The new snow of the next winter as adds to it and makes the pile begin.
